Just wanted to send a big thank you to all the organizers, instructors and students who made this past weekend's school the best I've been to so far. The weather worked out nearly perfect with a little bit of wet and a whole lot of dry, and the smaller, responsible rungroups made for some killer on-track sessions.

Clearly there are going to be some growing pains with regards to the new passing rules, but all seemed to be working pretty well by day 2, and I quite liked the 'pass anywhere' ruling for the A & B students - I think it's a beneficial learning experience for both the passer and the passee.

Finally, great job on getting everything back on schedule after the day 2 delays. Those scenarios have come up in the past and haven't been dealt with so well, but clearly all are learning from their mistakes on and off the track :)

Can't wait for the next one!!

Agreed! Absolutely awesome!

Special thanks to all those volunteer instructors....I really don't know how you guys and gals can calmly sit there giving instructions to someone you've known maybe 10 minutes as they go flying into turn 2.

And the ride in the instructor's car is gotta be one of the high points of a lifetime for many of us.

The new passing rules were interesting. Hopefully the other B students didn't have to spend too much time looking at the ass end of a black E46.... :-)

Ladies and Gentlemen

Glad to hear everyone had fun this weekend but don't forget about the next school in June on the 26/27 weekend. Bit of a change of pace and some all new corners for many of the members at Shannonville. It's been years since the club has been there and it's a rare chance to learn car control on a different track with the great instructors who are with the Trillium club.

Spots are starting to fill up so don't delay book now!

Hey Dipal, it was great to meet you, and those are some wicked pictures, thanks for posting them up.  I hope you could make it out to our next event at Shannonville in June, it should be epic.

Actually i'm trying to get my schedule sorted to make it out to that one. I think it would be a lot of fun and wouldn't mind taking pics while my run group isn't lapping.

Do you guys have a layout of how the day goes or anything like that? this would be my first Trillium event.

D

Hey that's great news, I hope you do make it out.  The schedules aren't made until much closer to the event, but it usually works out to be approx. half an hour in class, half on hour doing exercises on the skidpad, and half an hour on track, followed by half an hour break.  This usually the cycle for every two hour period per day.  Usually some minor tweaks here and there.  A rather large group of us will be camping at the track, others will be staying at the Best Western in near by Belleville.
