You can join us in FOUR ways

1) Join Our Website (Everyone START HERE)
The web site is where our digital club house lives. Just signing up can get you contacted about events, allow you to post on forums, and read most articles. "But I want to be a BMW Club member. Is it the same?". Everyone starts with a free web ID from our site then can pay dues for a club membership, renew a membership, pay for schools or other events. It's a little like opening a bank account. You open the account (for free) then can decide where to put your money. For some, the digital clubhouse is enough. It's free. They want to post to forums or read articles but are not planning on attending events. For others, they want to come out to the 'real' club house and participate in both paid and free events. Remember, joining the website allows us to contact you electronically. You can decide if you want to join as a member of the club (not free) once you've joined our electronic gateway.

What if I'm already a member of another Canadian chapter or the BMWCCA? See Associated Membership below.
To become a member, on the homepage, click on Create New User, fill out the given form and you will become a member of the web site. If you are simply interested in posting to the forums or commenting on posted articles, a web membership is ideal for you.

But . . .

Web-only members may not attend Advanced Driving Schools and at other events (e.g. AutoCross, ShowNShine, etc) you may be required to pay a fee or pay a fee at a higher rate than full/family/associate members.  Web members do not receive membership numbers, membership cards, and are not part of the club mass e-mail list.

Note: If you have a web-only membership but have not logged into the site for more than 25 weeks, your account may be deleted.

More Note: If you failed to provide your full, real name, your account will get deleted.

2) Club Membership

This is the actual membership to the BMW Club. Once you've got a web ID (for free), pay a due of  $62.15 (inclusive of taxes) and now you're a full member of the club. You will receive a membership number and membership card as well has having full access to the website to join published events including the Advanced Driving School (the school fee is a separate fee). You have the same access to Driving School and the web site as full members do. You do not need to pay the annual fee but you must be a currently paid up member of the club you are coming from. If you are a family member of a member from another club, that member must first become an associate member before you can be extend the family member privledge. If you are a member of a non-BMW car club chapter, you need to join as a Full Member.

  • Click on Create New User (to become a web site member)
  • Login with your web account.
  • To start the process of becoming an associate member, click on Contact Us link, select Joining as an Associate Member as the Category, and simply explain which BMW Chapter you belong to and your membership number for that chapter. Once your membership at your home club is verified we will move your status to Associate Member. Contact Us, click here

4) Family Membership

You may join as a full member at a reduced family rate of  $16.95 (inclusive of taxes) if you have a family member (spouse, sibling, offspring) who is a full member.  The full member must be an active member. If their membership has expired you may not take advantage of the discount. If the family member's membership expires before yours does, your membership will not expire. It expires after 1 year of membership.

Past Members

If you are a past member and have let your membership lapse for more than a year your account will likely have been purged and you will need to pay the $62.15 to reactivate your membership. Follow the same instructions as full membership but include in the Comments category you are a) a previous member and b) your previous membership number. Your previous membership number may be reactivated if still available.

Renewals

If you are a current full member but your membership has recently lapsed (i.e. you are still in our system but your membership has expired) you may renew your membership. Renewals for 2012 are $62.15(for full) and $16.95 for family members inclusive of taxes. Renewals add 1 year of membership to your current membership expiry date. Unlike in the past, there is no pro-rating of memberships. $62.15 = 1 year of membership.
